USS Massachusetts (SSN-798) Commissioning

Massachusetts Bay Council members proudly attended and participated in the commissioning of USS Massachusetts, marking the addition of this state-of-the-art Virginia-class submarine to the U.S. Navy fleet.

USS Bougainville (LHA-8) Commissioning

The Massachusetts Bay Council is currently being considered as a sponsor for the upcoming commissioning of USS Bougainville, an America-class amphibious assault ship designed to support Marine Corps expeditionary operations and advanced aviation capabilities.

Tall Ships Return to Boston for 2026

To celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, Sail Boston will welcome a spectacular fleet of international tall ships and military vessels from over 25 countries to Boston Harbor as part of Sail250®.  Visit the Sail Boston website for more information.

Join Navy League members from across the country June 3 to 6, 2026 at the National Convention in Norfolk, Virginia for networking, leadership engagement, and support of our sea services.  Visit the Convetion's website for more information.

USS Constitution Navy Birthday Commemoration 

On October 21, 2026, the USS Constitution and its museum will hold a special event commemorating the U.S. Navy's 251st birthday and the 229th anniversary of the ship’s launch. "Old Ironsides" hosts a birthday celebration featuring a specialized, ceremonial underway in Boston Harbor, marking her service since 1797.

Semper Fi Society Marine Corps Luncheon

The Navy League is proud to support the Boston Semper Fi Society Marine Corps Birthday Luncheon on November 2, 2026—an event honoring the service and sacrifice of U.S. Marines while supporting veterans and gold star families.

 Toys for Tots Holiday Drive

Our 53rd Annual Toys for Tots event supporting the Marine Corps Reserve resulted in nearly 600 toys being distributed to families in the Essex and Middlesex counties. Our members contributed an additional  $6,500 for the purchase of toys.      

PAST HIGHLIGHTS

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA 

Sea Cadet Squadron 7-Zulu (Quincy, MA) supported Wreaths Across America in December 2025, honoring fallen veterans by placing wreaths on graves. Their efforts reflect a strong commitment to service and remembrance.

DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS 5K

Sea Cadet Squadron 7-Zulu volunteered at the DAV 5K Run & Walk in South Boston, MA in November 2025, supporting veterans and their families through event logistics, encouragement, and community engagement.
